MetaChem’s
HPLC column FRITS are composed of passivated
316 stainless steel, and protect columns and instruments downstream
of the column. These frits are compatible with most manufacturer’s
HPLC columns. Use 0.5µ porosity frits (P/N 6063) for columns
containing packing material 5µ and smaller in diameter. Use
2µ frits (P/N 6061) for 10µ and larger particles. For MetaChem’s
new narrow-bore threaded-tube end-fitting design, “frit
caps” are used. Choose the frit-cap which matches
the internal diameter of the column. Again, use 0.5µ porosity
for 5µ particles and smaller and 2µ frits for 10µ media.
